I have never heard of an RS42.... doesn't mean it isn't right though. They make a lot of custom skimmers.

I have never read a single bad thing about Euro Reef, Not one. I recently did a ton of research on this brand and mine should be here tomorrow.

    How big is this skimmer?
What size tank did he run it on?
    How old is it?

Have seen most go for 200-350 lately, unless it was a very large one.

My tank is a 55g with a 30g sump. My tank is very lightly stocked, just 4 fish. Mostly corals. I just got back from the hardware store, I wanted to replace all the o-rings to be sure it was sealing good. Just dropped it in my sump and plugged it in. So far it seems to be doing good. Instantly starting creating a nice thick frothy foam. Have it set on the lowest setting too, for a break in and watch period. I will let you know in the next few days how it is.
