Well not everything, but i was so excited for today. My rodi unit along with a lot of other expensive goodies came today in the mail and i was all excited to set up my tank that i have been waiting out for more than 2 weeks. The rodi unit worked and everything. So the first thing, I bought a 25 gallon mix of reef crystals. Well turns out it only makes about 15 gallons. So then I put all of the freshly made saltwater in my top off reservoir so i can pump the new water in the aquarium. Turns out the top off is leaking. So i go around that and dump the water in the tank. Considering i only have 15 out of 22 gallons of water made, i knew the tank wasnt filled all the way but i just wanted to make sure that the heart of the system, the return pump was working properly. Turns out, it doesnt. There is a metal rod sticking out of the inlet of the pump. So now i have to completely redo my aquascape for the 4th time just so i can access the pump to replace this damn pump. Im really upset right now, i thought i was going to have my little piece of the reef cycling by now and i was all done. Turns out i have a lot of work ahead of me. AHH!!!:angry::angry::angry::furious3: im so stressed out right now i can cry :(

EDIT: o sorry also turns out i bought cheap a** sand because it doesnt even compare to the sand i usually get so it looks kinda bad too...

Stick with it man everything will work itself out. Think about it this way at least you found it now before you had all the water mixed and ready to add.

ahhhhhhh. Ok so i just finished gluing the necessary pieces on the replacement pump. I went from a 400 gph to a 386 gph. PLEASE GOD please let this work. Obviously im going to wait at least 24 hours before i put this pump in the tank due to the glue. Everyone cross your fingers because if this pump doesnt work i have no other choice but to give up... Im so frusterated because i just spent a butt load of money on equipment and tested my patience to the fullest by waiting for these packages to get here and after all that the tank is a failure.

i hope everything works out well for you. if you want to take one small bit of advice from an old guy . stress is what you make of it. let it roll off your back. it isnt worth it. and im not sayin just your tank, but most everything in life. anyways enough of a life lesson. :D . just keep at it ryan, your hard work and diligence will realy pay off.

Listen to the "old guy" - he's absolutely right! Take a deep breath, step back, and reevaluate. It will work out. :)
