Think of it this way... once you do get everything corrected and working it will mean that much more to you because you spent all the extra time getting your new baby fixed!

Dont give up its a long road but so worth the end results.

Good luck. I planned like crazy and had professional help setting up my system and I still ran into many issues especially when it was time to fill the tank. It's amazing how quickly all that water can call your bluff. Looking back, each of the problems was relatively small but at the time, with salt water flowing all over the place, they were major crisises. I seemed like it took me a full day or more to iron each one out but in the end they add to your enjoyment of the hobby.

    I'm confident of two things:
    1. you'll get throught this just fine
    2. some other unexpected challenge is certain to pop up down the road

Everyone, i truly do appreciate your help. And your words of wisdom. I cant thank you enough. I have made a decision. A huge one. I am going to tear my tank down yet again. When i say tear, i mean literally. Im taking off the whole built in filter on the back. It is getting too cluttered with my HOB skimmer, my phosphate reactor, my top off, and my - and i just dont think its an adiquate filter for a reef tank. I think sumps are the only way to go. So you are probably wondering, why not just buy a new tank? because i really really want to see what this tank will look like without that back taking up half the tank and i think it will look awsome. Also, i want to have a build to work on. Something to look forward to coming home and working on. I wanna have fun with this tank and i will building it. Then i wont feel so much that its an all in one. And in the end, it will still look like a unique fish tank that no one else has. A "custom" if you will. You know, so ill feel that i contributed to the making at least a little. I just wish i thought of this before i put sand, water, and rocks in there.Anyways, since a 5 gallon is the only standard tank that can fit below my tank in the stand, is that an adequate sized sump? Well i hope it will be fun and i will keep all of you updated . I already have a HOB overflow and everything.

I really feel that this is going to look nice in the end. There will be so much more room for fish to swim, not a single piece of equiptment in sight, just an all around more organized and clean cut tank.

    thanks so much guys,
    Ryan

PS: and dont worry, i will update you, cause im sure im going to have a buttload of questions along the way :)
