Found it: Cirrhilabrus tonozukai. It's very close to whip fin, but not quite. I may be wrong though, as females are notoriously hard to ID with any fairy.

Wow i really hope it is that. It's really pretty. I really like the whip fin too though so either way i'm happy. I guess I'll know for sure when it turns to a male. If i add another wrasse, is there an approximate time for the change to take place?

    K+, thanks for your help.

I've seen the start of a change in as little as a week, but it takes several months for things to complete. It's a slow, continuous process.

Ok one more question. If i have a female wrasse in the tank and i add another female of a different type would they both turn male? What about if I have a female and add a male of a different type?

In general, as long as you don't have two males, especially super males, of the same species in the tank, you'll be fine. I currently have 7 different wrasses, 6 different species, all in the same tank 5 males, 1 female, 1 juvenile.

That's a lot of wrasses. very cool. I would like this one to turn male though so i was trying to find out what to add next to make this happen and if i can only get a female(diff type) later on if they would both turn male.
