my first casualty was yesterday, 1 of my clownfish died while treating ich. im left with 1 maroon clown. he is hosting now the power line of the power head. is it wise to get him a fake anemone so he can host and not feel so lonely after losing his partner?

sorry to hear of your loss, that stinks.

Do you mean get an actual "fake" nem or a coral that it will host that doesn't wander like a torch, frogspawn, elegance, etc?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You can try, but he may very well not reside there.

If you are going to try to pair up the maroon, you should probably do so after the hyposalinity treatment.

Sorry to hear about your fish, you have been done a rough road with the system lately.

i saw these fake anemone (silicone or some kind of rubber) at lfs not live coral. like Corailline said i would not add anything until my tank stabilize. i could not continue the hyposalinity treatment im so busy this week and cannot do 2 water change/day. i started increasing salinity now its around 1.017. when it reaches 1.21 im moving couple of live rocks back and some cuc. hoping that will help in dropping the ammonia.
thanks Corailline for your help throughout the process. i was hoping to get rid of Ich once and for all but the die-off backfired at me. i guess if ich shows up again i will either let the fish deal with it and fight it or ill move all of the fish to a qt for the 6 weeks.
