I've had this blenny for like 2 weeks now.....it's a new tank, 120g, 6 weeks old and the only other fish are 4 blue/green chromis.......and it's really getting chunky fat, I don't think it's good if it continues to plump up at this rate.
Should I get a second algae blenny to share the load of whatever this guy is eating?
Should I be alerted that there's a general tank problem because the blenny is getting so "wide in the belly"?

I would HOPE he would not eat himself to death!

I am going to assume, there will always be enough algae for most blennies to overeat if that was their desire. Got pics? Perhaps that might help.

I tried to do a pic.....I'll have to work on that, it wouldn't link to a pic posted on another board. But believe me, it's an algae blenny with a fat gut!

Actually, now you have more! Really, this site was just transferred to a new server or something I don't really understand...but the Karma is a bit goofy!

Matt is working on fixing it! So he will take lots away....:-/

As for the pic, I believe you, I was thinking if it was disease related, that someone would recognize symptoms in a pic that are tough to related in strict text. That was all!:)

I've had a lawn mower blenny for 2 yrs now and every few days they will fill up like that. Don't worry, he'll be fine
