I think my feather duster lost his crown last week. I came home and no feather duster but I kept the tube in the tank just in case. A few days ago I seen the worm come out of the tube at night.

Do I feed it? What do I feed it? How does it get food without the feathers?

    Thanks,

    Casey

Feather dusters can lose their crowns if stressed or if params shift unfavorably. They will often regrow in only a few weeks.

Do you have other inverts in the tank that you already feed planktonic/marine snow preparations? If so, then you should probably continue regular feeding cause there is a good chance the mouth is still there and it will still feed at least some. I am not aware of any certain kinds of food that will accelerate their recovery.

If there is no mouth to see then I would not venture a guess as to what to do . . .

    just my $.02

I feed marine snow every 3-4 days since I just have small corals...maybe 5 that feeds on marine snow (I think).

Should I increase feeding to help it?
