I put in a feather Duster yestrerday and it has been out filtering since being in the tank, this morn I noticed that the ends of some of the tentacles are curling up a little. Is this part of its adjusting to my water. I tested yesterday and I am at

    PH-82
    GH 180
    KH 240
    NO2-0
    NO3-0

    I used araga-milk yesterday that a problem?

The feather duster is indeed a filter feeder, its crown may get a bit ruffled due to stress e.g new tank or in my case my cleaner shrimp used to jump on its back every time it came out, this stressed my feather duster and made its crown look like he had a bad case of dreads, so he dropped his crown and within 2 weeks grew a new one, this is a normal event, so don't be alarmed if this happens to yours, just letting you know what may happen, its not uncommon either for the worm to drop its crown and climb out the tube to find a new home by building a totally new tube altogether...

i would give it some time, if they can survive thru cycling they should be able to adjust in a day or two

Whwen I brought it home there was a lil worm on th eoutside of him it was about an inch long and real thin and had hundreds of legs like a centipede.and was kinda peach in color. I didnt know what it was so I threw it away. I assume it wasnt him. Was it? Or was it just something that wasnt supposed to be there?

I think that might have been a bristle worm, good call on throwing it away...

sounds like a bristle worm to me too.

I like mine and view them as beneficial... there are differing opinions on this though.

I do not think it was your feather worm though :)

    So you should be fine.
