Just curious if anyone has ever tried to feed a asterina star to a coral. I was considering trying to feed small ones to duncan's or blasto's.

My royal gramma eats them if i put them in the water column, so do my anemones. they also eat micro brittle stars.

Harlequins will take usually care of them if you are trying to get rid of them.

More often then naught, the asterina's aren't sufficient for the shrimp because the shrimp continuously feed on the tube feet of live shrimp. the effort spent on bringing the live asterina to there den only to be able to eat so little tube feet usually isn't worth it. I would advise against a harlequin shrimp just to get rid of asterinas.
