What do you or should you feed a frog spawn and a candy cane coral?
How often should you feed your corals?
How do you feed your corals?
My LFS never told me as long as my pharms were ok that the corals shoud be fine. I read on here all the time how everyone feeds there corals and what not. So I thought I'd ask and get some feed back on how everyone feeds there corals. Thanks

I wouldn't dose Iodine unless you are testing low and absolutely need to. Iodine is a tweaky thing. You can overdose a tank. So be careful.

I feed my doughnut coral and bubble a little fish meat once every few weeks because my lighting is so bad (PCs). I don't feed my frogspawn. I do feed my mushroom coral some phytoplankton every few weeks along with the kenya tree, finger leather and chili coral. The chili you have to feed at night. Once I get a good lighting set up, I am not going to worry about it (except for the chili).

Both corals are symbiotic and contain zooxanthellae that provide most of the nutrients they need. On occasion you can provide shrimp or other types of food but sparingly to reduce the chance of spurring microalgae growth!

+1 I don't feed my corals. They usually get food from feeding time. I do however feed my flame scallop with phyto so they might be getting food from that as well.
