I have never directly fed any of my LPS, and I was wondering how to go about doing so. I have: Frogspawn, Grape, Fox, Torch, and Hammer. I had a bottle of kent microvert laying around so I mixed some up in a bowl with tank water and turkey bastered each one....i have a feeling it didn't do much. Any recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Ivan

When feeding, shut down your skimmer for a couple hours. I tend to feed my LPS larger food, i.e. mysis shrimp. They're similar to feeding anemones. They can handle quite large pieces, but you have to keep them safe from the likes of cleaner shrimps because they are notorious for pulling food out of corals.

Okay..just shut down all my pumps..melted some mysis..chased my coral banded shrimp into its lair..and gently blew a few shrimp on each head........they're just sitting there? how long should this take?

If you have never directly fed any of your LPS and your corals are doing well, then why start...they receive most of their nutrients from their host zooxanthellae, and if you start adding liquid foods, you will end up increasing the nutrients and nitrates/phosphates in your water!
I never feed mine, directly and have continued success, so I wouldn't worry about it as long as they are doing well!!
I would be more concerned that they are receiving enough calcium and alkalinity and pH are ideal!
    Best of luck to you!

the reason was that one of my torch heads was looking kinda droopy since saturday so i figured I'd see if it would eat anything...it didn't lol I don't think i will feed in the future though..all it did was give my shrimp a feast when the shrimp fell off the tentacles

Feeding them just makes them grow faster, you don't have to feed them if you dont want to. You said it was drooping?, Does your frogspawn droop or have tear drop looking things come from it?

it depends on the coral, my frogspawn wont take food. ive actually only had one coral that would take food and that was some kind of monster green button poylps

edit: ok ive had two once i had my zoas eat cyclopeezes but they never ate them again after that, but cyclopeezes are cool to feed like giant copepods
