Okay, I know these questions get asked a bunch, but I can't find exactly what I am looking for and I am needing specific information about feeding fish.

I plan on getting a Clownfish pair and a CuC in the next couple of weeks. I am going to put my CuC in my DT and one or two snails in my HT to keep it clean while I house my Clowns in there for a month or so.

    So here is my questions:
    1. What should I feed my clownfish to have a well balanced diet?
    2. How often, for each type of food?
    3. Is there a certain way I need to feed them?
    4. Should I buy a pod pack to help supplement their diet?

Clownfish eats plankton, and also bigger foods. To give clowns a well balanced diet, i would reccommend feeding with Cyclop-eeze, each day. They love gobbling up small plankton in the water. Mysis can be fed twice a week, and they'll love it. You can eventually dip in marine oils, garlic, proteins, vitamins and minerals. You can get something like Fauna Marin Food Energizer. It works very well, and helps prevent diseases, parasites and also help the fish grow, and get fat. Then, i would reccommend feeding once each day with some pellets. Fauna Marin also made a very good pellet food, that is specially made for clownfish, where the pellets are alot softer and contain better nutrients for clownfish. I personally use Fauna Marin Base Color L. Pretty much any fish eats these pellets, and clownfish LOVES them (Guess thats why theres a picture of a Clarkii clownfish on the food can). Its a very high quality food, that contains lots of important nutrients. The pellets are also really high quality, and wont cloud your water as much as other brands. Clownfish are not very picky with food in my experience, but Cyclop-Eeze is their favorite, and it will give them great coloration, and a healthy immune system :)!

zgetman - sounds like you're getting close yay!! I just feed my fish a varied diet. Some flakes (Formula One) and I also give them marine chips. I have a couple of other pellets and veggie flakes. One food that my fish love although it is kind of expensive but provides variety in its blend is Rod's food. It's frozen and the fish love it. I did recently start giving them cyclopeeze flakes but they're actually not too crazy about it. HTH!!

+1 on the frozen foods! My clownfish LOVES frozen foods. But they love Cyclop-Eeze aswell. I think that they better like the freeze dried ones instead of the flakes. I'm not a big fan of flakes in general, i only use flakes for my freshwater tanks. Like to keep it in the natural form in my saltwater tank! :)

There is nothing wrong with feeding a high quality flake food sparingly. I feed Formula One & Spirulina flakes 1-2 times per week. This is just fine for a varied diet IMO.

Okay, I should feed frozen Mysis Shrimp once a day, 2 times a week? Also feed them pellets once a day? Should I buy a pod pack and let them go in my system so my Clowns can munch on them?

Do clowns eat frozen vegetables? I have heard of people frezing zucchini and feeding fish, but that was mostly freshwater fish.
