feeding refugium

    Do you need to feed your refugium? I am starting one and planning on putting plants/algae, assorted copepods. I did not know if they ate anything special. thanks.

    No feeding involved with what you plan on putting in your refugium. Though, for algae, you will want to provide appropriate lighting and live rock addition is a must in my opinion!!!

    The pods will grow once there is sufficient phytoplankton in the tank. There is no need to add phytoplankton to the tank because every time you clean the glass of algae you're adding phyto into to the water column.
