Well, I've been fighting a down hill battle with cyano and some green/red hair algae. So far i doubled my clean up crew to: 102 dwarf ceiths, 30 Nassarius, 40 florida ceriths, about 40 nerites, 2 emerald crabs, and 3 limpets, got a couple fuzzy chitons but they didn't make the shipping, and 18 hermits. I also got a new pump (cobalt mj 9) for my reactor so it is working much better and is silent! I put new gfo to include about 1/3 c more than i usually use. I am also going lights out for 3 days. I am going to cut my feeding back to 1x/day. Any other recommendations to help clear up the issue? I use rodi, but don't get 0ppm, usually 1-2ppm, 1-2 isn't that big of an issue is it? One other question maybe adding to nutrients in tank. I know that I can blow off my live rock with a baster or pump to help clean of debris, but would it be harmful to shake them off in a bucket of saltwater after doing a water change to really get a bunch of the crap off?
This is on a 125, I use 2 mp40's for flow and my return is a mag 7.
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

You could go with a larger crew most likely. Contact John at Reefcleaners on that.

It is never good when you do not get o TDS from your RODI. You need to replace all of your filters and probably the membrane.

Should I scrubb the rocks off that do have cyano on them currently or just address the input nutrients first due to its rapid growth rate?

I would definitely check into why it has never run at 0 TDS. Do you have very high TDS going in?

Yes manual removal helps. I used to wait until the end of my lighting cycle to get it when it was in full bloom.
