hahah well I know that everyone here has been super nice to me through my learning process - just trying to pay that forward.

I have seen a few other forums and there are many reasons why I stick with 3reef.

On so many of the other forums, a post will turn into people taking turns bashing someone for something they had unknowingly done.

What good will that do to budding (or seasoned) reefers !?!??! Nothing good!!!

At least that's the way I see it.

This forum has almost a "professional" atmosphere to it. For men and woman, young and old, we all see this as a neutral place to give opinions and receive feedback.

It works so well, doesnt it!?!?!?!

Anyway - post some pics of your tank so we can see your setup!!!! :p:p:p

I see you started a new thread on overstocking. Nice. It has good comments in it.

The thing with the tang, mostly, IMO, is swimming space. These fish are swimmers (obviously, all fish are swimmers; I mean they swim distances, not just around the same rock all day).

More than gallonage, what's important with tangs is horizontal swimming space. 6-8 feet is good. I wouldn't put one in my 4ft 55 bc I feel it is too short for one.

So with the tang, it's space.

Some fish need more O than others. Some poop more than others. So there's also what other fish are there that counts in overstocking.

So that leads to a lot of "OR" rather than "AND" scenarios when you have multiple types that can, theoretically be in tank size X.
