Fire Fish question

    Okay so i know you cant keep two purple fire fish together as they will kill each otherm but what about a purple and and orange? any one actually have experience keeping them both?

    I will be keeping both kinds soon as I get my hand on a purple. Have seen it done multiple times. I think there is two or three tanks in our club with both kinds and no problems from any of them.
    You can keep two of the same, but you will have to get a mated pair (difficult to find) or try to pair them yourself, which can be hit or miss.

    so i would be okay to add a orange to my 180 which already has a purple

    no personal experience, but judging from other tanks I have seen, I would say your tank is large enough the issue is minimal.

    I've kept multiple firefish together at home and at the shop and contrary to what I have read they do better in groups mated pair or not....

    At home I had a harem of 4 or 5 in my 29 without issue, until I took it down...
