I want to add some firefish to my 54g corner tank but i'm afraid they will jump out based on what i read about them. Do they really jump a lot? Thanks

I have a lid and mine hit it quite often. They spook very easily and that's usually when they jump.

I hate walking down the aisle at the wholesalers that has the wrasses and dartfish. I have no idea how they still have a brain left. Even though I walk super slow, it sounds like popcorn with them all beating their heads on the lids.

One of mine dissapeared at one point. I found it in the overflow about two months later, somehow still alive. Clearly he jumped and got lucky. In my firefish experience I've never had them survive in the two times I've tried them, but it may have to do with jumping.

We have lost several through the tiny openings in quarantine lids. They jump like crazy!

Clearly, this is an outlier but I've never seen mine try. I had no lid for about the first month I had him too. He also doesn't spook very easily. The only time I ever see him nervous is around new people at the tank, always hides for a few minutes before showing. He isn't bothered by the fish though.
