I got a purple firefish a few weeks back. Today, he's swimming very odd. It's like he's trying to keep himself from floating up. His head is pointing downward and his tail upward, and his tail is kind of bent upwards. He's eating well, but I'm fearful since he's exerting a lot of effort trying to keep himself down. I also turned off all my pumps to see if that would help him, sadly, he's still doing the same. Any advise or input?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Sounds like a swim bladder disorder.

When did he start doing this?

I have had other fish do this after eating secondary to swallowing to much air as well.

This is a recent thing, in the past 2 days I think. Defenitely seems like he has air in his system.
