    i recently got my learner's permit and started driving, well i was wondering what a decent but not too pricey car would be around 2004-2006. i was looking at a golf GTI. anyother suggestiongs :)

    Well considering your age a Gti will cost your parents/yourself a considerable amount in insurance dues- does this concern you at all?

    Mind you, think about what I have written, and how it might actually effect your family and yourself personally.

    Do you really need this car- or would something else be better suited for your needs?

    IMHO, I would go with an older car. Why, because you are a first time drive, probably going to hit something, or get in a wreck.Also and why spend so much on insurance sense its probably going to be high as you are a first time driver, not to mention that car could be a sports car, I don't know but that will make it even higher. I think if you get a 2004 You are going to be paying to much...My sister was in (I believe) five wrecks in the first year, so I would go with an older car for a while...
