I had my first loss - one of my first hermit crabs. He lost his legs about one week after I got him, but I thought he was going to pull through since it's been almost two months! But alas, he has passed. :-X

Him and his googly eyes will be missed!

    sorry to hear that Kc

losses are the worse part of the hobby, everyone will agree with that, but provided they become few and far between, then the sadness is heavily outweighed by the pleasure

Two months with no legs,I'm very surprised he lasted this long and as Steve said losses are a part of the hobby that everyone hates but it happens but our job is to learn from it and keep it to a minimum, the whole object of the game, buy live animals and keep them alive. I guess thats one thing that makes it so fun,the challenge.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My first loss was a pair of black percula clown fish. My six line wrasse killed one then the other one gave up on life when his mate died. He then killed 2 more pairs of various types of clowns. I finally have a pair of false percula clowns that he likes. I guess if you never lose you can never really appreciate a win.
