I finally did my first install in my home. I ran my water lines and plumbed everything the correctly, the second time. A word of advice, don't take shortcuts. Through the saddle valves away and install brass sleeves in your plastic lines.

Fighting some red slime. I have not been able to do much to my system yet. Hopefully I will be able to get my stand built in the next few months, and get a sump installed.

Yes, good to see you're still around, Z. :)

Hate to be the Debbie Downer, but the brass sleeves will leach copper into your water. OK for us in small doses, but not so good for a SW aquarium. You can find the same fittings in plastic at most hardware stores.

I thought the filters would take care of that, considering they remove dissolved solids.

Well, looks like I need to do some valve installing. I have flooded the back room 3 times now. I keep forgetting to shut the water off, and my wife is mad at me, lol.
