Last time I was out fishing, when we went into the sheltered water behind an island, there were thsounds of these 2-3ft jellyfish. Probably one every 5-10 yards. We had talked about taking a dip during lunch when the captain usually put anchor in these protected areas. This changed our minds. I don't mess with jellies.

    Cheers,
    Ray

i have always been fasinated of jellies. i have had a little problem with a type of them in one of my tanks. but haveing eyes i realy never knew they had them until this topic. so i did a little search on box jellyfish and came up witha few sites most of them claimed they had eyes and more spesific well developed eyes. would of never thought it. but there is alot of people that say it is true. i am a amatuer to computers or i would paste the sites i visited but i dont know how. but i did di a quick search through aol search for box jellyfish and got the sites that gave me that info if you wanna check it out yourself. ::)

I can possibly buy a primitive nervus and potentially buy attached primitive photoreceptive organs, but eyes? That requires an much more advanced nervus system than I think you would find in any of the jellies.

Do any of your corals or anemones have eyes?

    Cheers,
    Ray
