First SW tank

Hello! Names Alex. Saw this forum related to a reef video I was watching on youtube. Seems to be really great! already gotten an abundance of info here. Okay so, started my first sw reef tank, or saltwater tank period. got it going 5 months ago. Turning out to be a fun and rewarding hobby. But boy was it alot more complicated and alot more work than I realized I was getting into. Learned an abundance of things. whatever you originally plan on everything costing. double it! Got worked pretty hard at the LFS due to not knowing that much at first. Now I can see through the scams. Not saying the LFS doesn't know much, but watch your back. learn who is true and who just wants the sale.
As for the tank. I bought a 56 gallon deep tank. Started off with a seaclone skimmer, and a fluval 305 filter. two t5 bulbs. Now upgraded to an intank refugium, rapid series ps4 wetdry filter system, and an pak pak dual core skimmer. And now working on upgrading to 4 t5 bulbs. and moonlights.
As for the Life in the square.
2clown fish
2 cleaner shrimp
1 turbo snail
5 margarita snails
1 lawnmower blennie
1 flame angel
1red starfish
a bunch of brittle stars
a bunch of feather dusters
and who knows what else.

PICS PICS PICS AND MORE PICS.....PLEASE....THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD TANK!. i ONLY HAVE A 10 GALLON SW TANK AND THE LFS STORE GOT ME TO GET 12 HERMITS AND 12 SNAILS WITH 2 PEPPERMINT SHRIMP, NOW 2 WEEKS LATER ONLY HAVE ABOUT 2 HERMITS LEFT AND ABOUT 2 SNAILS LEFT AND ONLY ONE PEPPERMINT LEFT. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN 50JC

 

Haha yeah they work you good. luckily I caught onto it early, about 200 dollars wasted later unfortunately. they told me 40 snails and 40 hermits. I started laughing, needless to say I still walked out with 10 hermits. proved to work well when my whole tank had the biggest diatom outbreak ive ever seen. there was mats of the stuff. but the hermits ate it right up

 

WELCOME!! Which video were you watching, I have 3 on there and mentioned 3reef about 1,000,000 times, just curious if it was mine you watched!
