    Hey Everyone!

    Looking for some advice....

Currently have a six line wrasse in my tank and he has been there about 2 weeks. What would you guys recommend me geting in there next? I have a 55gallon reef tank and would eventually like to incorporate a pair of clowns as well. Thanks for your advice.

I would. Get rid of the six line wrasse. That is just my 2 cents bad experience with one.

Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean he will or that ever fish is the same, that's no help and not needed.

I personally don't know anything about this fish. Wrasse are usually nice. I'd check out the thread at the top about reef safe wrasse. Hope that helps

Uh sixlines are usually not nice, if it hasn't became to territorial yet you could add fish that could hold up against it....

The general consensus is that six lines are by far the most aggressive wrasse. Many people have documented this, including i believe the thread you are referring to. You shouldnt tell someone their advice is bad if you dont have any other advice or a greater knowledge of the topic.

How is someone's experience not useful? Do you not know how a forum works? And you obviously don't know much about the fish. Odds are it will be mean to newcomers - at least if bigger than an inch or so.

To the op, if you have a sump I'd try a less timid and well eating fish first and if the sixline picks on it, catch the sixline and put it in the sump until you add the rest of the fish you want and readd it last. If you start with too timid a fish, the initial aggression may scare it so it never comes out and dies hiding.

if it was stated that the fish are usually aggressive that's one thing but just to say I had a bad time with one don't do it, doesn't help. I just tried to point him in the right direction. ive had some bad experiences with fish, but others swear by them. its all about helping not just stating.... well I didn't like mine so don't get one

Flasher wrasses would be an excellent reef safe addition to a 55g :) there are plenty to chose from.

I never told him not to keep it. I simply gave the advice I had.and my experience with them. What he chooses to do with my opinion is his choice. Like I said my personal opinion. Not forcing anyone to agree with me. Just like stated before that's what forums are for. So with that I am no expert on anything about this hobby just try to offer the little bit I do know. With my personal experiences
