I just set up my octopus bh-100 2 nights ago and the tank has been set up for about 4 months and my params are perfect and im running carbon. my question to you fellow 3reefers is, how many fish can i house in my 22 gallon? im leaning towards 6 small fish at the max but it depends on your reactions to that number. but probably 6

    I only keep 4 in my 55...

I'm thinkin you can keep 2. Depends on the fish, filtration, and your maintenance habits, of course.

    I have 7 in my 72. I think 6 is too many for a 22.

Start with two and watch your nitrate. After your tank re-cycles and measure your nitrate level. If you have a reef tank you need that nitrate level to be 0. If it's a FOWLR 10 ppm should be low enough. Observe for a few months and make sure the nitrate level stays low. If it does you can probably add another but keep in mind the fish are going to grow and add bioload. DOn't overdo it and go very slowly.

Depends on the type of fish, six small gobys, sure, but not six fish the size of clowns. So overall six fish is overkill IMO. Id go with 2-4 depending on the fish

max I would go for is around 8" of adult sized fish.
