I had something similar happen! The mess sucked, but I have all tile floor so it just ran everywhere. I imagine cleaning the carpet was much much worse for you. Mine didn't have a hole in it though, it was an acrylic sump that after 2.5 years just fell apart. The bonding agent "gave out"... 18-ish gals of sw on the floor. FUN DAY! Anyway, I feel ya, but yay for fish rooms! I'll follow along to see how you do this b/c I'd like to have one of my own one day.

    yeah it was a mess!
so far it hasnt been so bad. We only had to build that one wall, since the tank is right behind. We decided to use metal rods because it was easier and safer to do it that way IMO.
we arent near done yet, but so far it seems it wont be more than 300 bucks total for us.

here is a recent picture. We now need to drill some holes in the wall and bring the refugium in. :p
we will paint afterwards as i am rushed to have the tank running again. It should be a blue pait to make it look more "fishy" LOL

im hoping i can get those doors that you see at restaurants with the round window.. I can sort of paint it like if it was a boat.
Tomorrow hopefully, we'll get the door and maybe start painting it..
