I got my Flame Angel on Sunday still only nipping at LR for food but it seemed at first he swam out in the open more for the first day and now he is mostly in the back of the reef where you cant see him. My one clown fish is a little mean (thefemale). Do Flame Angels generally swim in the back or the front of the reef? Should I take out the one clown and replace him with a smaller one?

No. Don't make any changes. Your FA will adapt and start coming out within a week. He is just unsure of his new surroundings. All of my fish went through this phase....especially with other fish in the tank that have defined their terratories. The terratories in your tank will just need to get redefined. And that will happen soon enough.

agreed, give it some time, the fish should get used to each other. If there is still serious aggression in a few weeks then you may want to take action. But for now, it's normal

I agree I will wait 2 weeks. Tonight the mean clown was chasing the blenny he has not caused any actual damage to him just harrassing. He must have dont it to the Angel when I did not see. I really want the Angel to come out more so I will wait and see

my sixline was very shy at first, anytime I got near the aquarium he darted off into the rocks. Now he swims around like he owns the place. Remember that most fish you buy are wild caught, most likely including your angel. They need time to adjust to life in captivity and the strange occurances that happen.

Hope your right and he comes out more in a week or two. I had a Fairy wrasse that recently died and not quite sure if the clown made him hide or he just wanted to die. I got some live brine shrimp to see if I have luck feeding the Angel and Blenny. Only the clowns ate the live brine this afternoon. I will try again tonight maybe w/garlic
