Do you guys think that dropping rods food into the tank is enough to feed my flame scalllop? Or do I need to be target feeding some sort of phytoplankton? Or is just adding phytoplankton to the tank once a day enough? 3 questions thank for the answers.

I'm interested here too. I don't have one, but the idea has crossed my mind a few times. Sorry I can't answer any of your questions, but I'm looking forward to hearing from someone who can.

i think someone on here has them, and has good luck with them. they are non photosynthetic and need to feed often. if you gonna get one, get the electric flame scallops. they are AWESOME!

From what I know will have to be fed phyto a couple times a day. Read that they don't do well in reef tanks too. Good luck to you anyway.

A plankton of some sort will suffice whether it be zooplankton or phytoplankton. Personally I recommend that people steer clear of these guys because they have to be fed so often. IMO, feeding something like that, as much as it needs to be fed, is just overly polluting your tank. You will eventually run into serious nutrient issues as a result of this. I hope this helps.
