I have a 4' or 5' piece of this stuff with 2 ends that both accept 1 1/4" hose barbs that I need much shorter. The way it is now, there is kind of a loop in the drain and its really restricting how much is getting to the sump.

Are the ends on these re-usable? do they un-thread from the drain hose, or are they crimped or glued on somehow? basically I need to know if I can make this shorter myself, or if I need to go around town and try to find another one thats already made the lenght I need.

    Thanks!

i know they are glued, dont know if they can be reused? your local pool supply store should have 2 and or 3' sections, hope this helps?

Im sure theres some way you can shorten it. The ends should be reusable.

What you could do is cut one end so you still can use the fixed adapter on one side. Then on the cut end, you can DIY your own adapter with PVC pipe (shave one end down), stuff it into the ID of the flex hose (you may need to manhandle it!), and glue it into place. Voila! You have a new hose kit!

After playing with it some I think the ends are glued on. I'm about to head out to try and find a 2' pre-made piece, and worst case i'll just get some 1" ID hose and cram it over the barbs.
