What kind of flow rate is best for a fuge. Mine is currnetly running at about 600 gph which I know is too much. Im thinking about dialing it back when I get the rest of my Koralia's.

    Hi Mike
I believe 5% - 10% of your system volume per hour through your fuge is a general guideline

Nothing is set in stone on this and you will get a bunch of different answers. Good rule of thumb I was taught is 1/10 size of display.

    100g tank = 10g fuge with 10gph across it.

I run a 30g fuge with about 25 to 30 gph across it and it works great.

Otty nailed it 10/10. But if your fuge is not 10% of your display than I suggest you turn the fuge once an hour.

Wow thats really slow. Mines about 10 gallons of fuge on a 30 so you would recomend my return pump run at about 10 gph? Not even sure where to find a pump that will do that.

What do you think of one of those dialed back with a ball valve. My plumbing only goes up about 1.5 feet from return to outputs.

That will work. I use a small Danner and a ball valve.

why would you want the flow that slow?

I have a 20 gal fuge and i have 750gph running through it. i dont seem to have any issues with it. my chaeto has more than doubled since i added it.
