    I didn't know what section to put this under but...

    Have a 55 gallon tank and 2 powerhead providing flow...

    How should I set them up???

    well how many gph are they putting out? most of the time you will want them on opposite sides of the tank so you can get the turbulence from the water meeting. this will help with algae issues or dead spots in the tank.

    Position them to provide the best flow without putting craters in your sandbed. How much do they put out? You will definitely need something to agitate the surface of the water as well. Might be able to angle one powerhead towards the surface to accomplish that.

    Well, if I were in your shoes, I would do four Koralia-2s: Two on each side. Two pointing front, two pointing back. That, alone, will get you to about 43GPH. Add a return and a skimmer and you are in business. IMHO of course.
