I have this real pretty animal in my tank the LFS called it a beaded flower anemone....I woke up this morning and my blue damsel and my Maroon clown would swim by this flower and take nip's at his little tentacles and now there is a ballon type thing hanging out of his mouth which I think is his insides....It apears to me he is more than likely dying. My question is do these types of anemones have the ability to wipe out a tank like the others do?....When an anemone wipes out a tank is it just fish only or corals also?
I only have one small fish that doesnt nip at stuff....

I have 2 Flower Anemones that have been with me for the past 10+ yrs. In that time frame, I have never observed any fish take "nips" at its tenticles. Their teneticles are as sticky as gum. Any fish that would dare to come that close would be diner. Here is a pic of mine....

Are you sure that you have a Flower Anemone? Can you get a pic of it?

I've had a bunch of anemones die in my tanks over the yrs and I never take them out or have had any issues or crashes. There are some animals that must be taken out due to they're toxins, but a FA isnt one of them.

There are three anemones in that pic. The far left and middle are FA, the far right is a LTA. Just to clarify.

I would let the anemone stay. I had my rose BTA get sucked into a power head and shreaded and it came back to life with avengence... there are now 6 or 7 rbtas all around the tank for the clowns to play in.

I saw the LTA I also have another type of anemone they called it a pink tip florida something or other...I got it bacause it looks really cool and will NOT do the hosting thing like others do...I like to watch him at night sometimes and I dont really like the symbiotic relationship...I personally think its hard on the anemone to have a fish wallering all over him all the time....but the one I have does look really cool and th efish dont bother him....Sorry I cant get pictures I have way to many tank issues to bother with a camera right now....Next payday I should have my refugium or wet dry filter or whatever this thing is called...I have to get a vlave to control the return flow....well any way I want the fish out so I guess I will have to figure it out....I have already tried to catch em with a net thats out so maybe a real small hook and some bait....any other ideas would be great....I will not spend money on a trap and want to do this without a total tear down...
