    idk anything about flying fish but I do think they should be in the ocean. Im not trying to be rude. But just do whats best for the lil guy.. He is really cool though ^^

    Are you sure that it's a flying fish. Looks more like a sea robin flying gunard or a sculpin to me. sea robin - Google Image Search

    If so, that would explain it staying at the bottom.

    No definately not that lol... it looks almost exactly like this picture except different coloring.

    and he swims alot just staying at the bottom when he seems to be feeding on stuff in the sand. Ill try to get a better picture.

    So you DO acclimate when putting it in the ocean. :D :D. Hahaha I was just wondering...common sense says you do...but it's the ocean. It rules all. Acclimation is a peasant in it's eye. Plust crashing waves could make floating a bag a tad difficult.
