I purchased a gorgous frag yesterday and found a small white/gray brittle star on it. I removed the star and put it in a container. It is about .5" long and is to small for me to photograph with my camera. Does anyone have any links so I can maybe identify it.

It sounds like a mini brittle star. They are fine. Will just stick out there little arms and feed off of stuff in the water. They don't get big.

I think I will put it in my fuge when I get back from vacation. It should be fine in what is is in now. I just want to make sure it isn't a bad brittle star. If it was green it would be some where else already.

NAh...I'd throw it in my friend's tank to mess with him :)

He doesn't have anything in his yet. MUAHAHAHAHAHA :laughcry::evil3:

The head is about the size of the head of a pin. I would say no larger than 2mm

Ya those are mini brittle's. They wont get much bigger than that. I have tons of them, they bother no one. Its the big brittle's you need to worry about. There body is like an inch across, so there much bigger.
