I think I'm going to try this.. My Mag Float is always in the tank in a well lit area. I'm going to glue a small piece of GSP on it. I think it would look pretty cool! Not tonight though..maybe tomorrow..just an idea.

:drummer:Ha ha good idea! I have a montipora frag that I don't have a place for. Maybe I might try that to. Gsp grow so fast you'd have your glass encrusted with them by the next morning ha ha

If you still plan on using it to clean that might not be such a good idea? Try buying magnetic frag plugs I have three with monti's attached and I love them

I think GSP would be fine, even if your still gonna use it to clean, they are very hardy and if it takes off it would look cool! I used to have a gsp frag that i glued to my back overflows, it started to take over before the crash, it was awsome looking!

What happens when it reaches the edges of the mag float? You might have trim it all the time or it might get pulled underneath and smeared across the glass.

that's true... but like i handle my anthelia on an overflow cup, just cut it way way back when you do cut it...

even if you have to take it out occasionally to clean the magfloat of debris, I bet the GSP could live through a tap water bath in the sink. I really do.

Awesome idea. I'm thinking what to do with my over growth gsp. I'm going to cover my overflow box with it.
