    Hadn't thought about built in overflows. I'm sort of stuck to having a certain size. That being, 30" X 12" footprint.

    I would like to get a tank like you have, sollie. I like the shallow depth. I think I will build or buy one that size & add in a wall for a built-in overflow. Drill a bulkhead & run 3/4" PVC down to a 10g sump/refuge.

    Not sure on lighting.

    I miss things sometimes and if that is the case here sorry.

    What is the point of having the return going into an overflow chamber? Wouldn't this be a waste of space and counter productive?

    Oh your right, I guess I could cut a whole in the back of the stand & have the return go over the back of the tank? I already am using the Herbie design OF

    Edit: I was trying to prevent any cuc from going down the water lines.
