So i decided to frag out a colony of mushrooms today. i had so many of them on one rock and wanted to spread them out. this is my first frag experiment. it ended sucessfully ;D

Next, i decided to cut a head off of my green palys. i didnt have any super glue but i placed the head on top of a shell inside of a small tupperware tup in m aquarium.

Will it stick to this shell?

    will this method work?

    any opinions?

    thanks!

Ahhhh it begins!!! You are going to be a fragging machine, with a nice tank to show for it. Interested to see how it attaches.

I have used this method and it works great for shrooms and other things that like low flow, but if it's something that needs a little more flow you need to glue it down.

Fragging is super fun! It's a good idea to wear gloves and protective eyewear when doing it though and wash well after you have finished. Some softies excrete defense toxins that can make you very sick or in extreme cases bring death.

Indiana Boy, do you think if it would have had a bit of bridal veil over the shell it may have had a better chance?

Whenever I frag I usually cover these types of frags, just in case, with the veil. I picked up a ton of the material from a local hobby store, for nearly nothing.

Sorry to hear it blew away, it may be interesting though if all of a sudden it just shows back up.

Yes, indeed, kllrfish. bridal veil would have been most helpful

it was more of a spontaneous act to see if it would work. i just happened to be elbow deep id my tank with scissors in hand ;D

bridal veil will be my method for sure next time. as well as some super glue!

    thanks for your helpful comments
