I found this guy in an old clam shell while cleaning my tank. Almost grabbed the sucker. Just want to know if he can go back in the tank or if is bad.

I have a large bristleworm identical to the one in the image and he has never harmed my corals, but if you feel uncomfortable you may feel better getting rid of it. With that said another one will probably just take it's place. If it was my tank I would put him back.

It's also about ready to broadcast spawn. It's already forming an epitoke on it's back end. If you are low on bristleworms watch your tank after lights out looking for a worm that is swimming like it's on crack or LSD. When you see that happen, turn off your skimmer for 24 hours. That's what will happen when the epitoke separates from the rest of the worm...then it will explode sending gametes all over.

    That's actually pretty cool.

What, worms don't sound like a ggod lunch? I think that sounds delicious. ;)
