Frogspawn help plz

    hey guys i have a frog spawn with 4 heads i got it from the LFS like that its heathy acts fine but my calcium is low and i dont know my alkalinity and magnesium but do any of thos 3 parameters have to be perfect for it to start poping out new heads? cuz i havent seen any new heads pop out on mine ive had it for about 3-4 months. My lighting is

    two 250w metal halides

    two t5's

    2 actenics

    i dont think theres a problem with my lighting tho my tanks 55 gal long i poot in DT reef blend every 2 days shuild i target feed him brine shrimp?

    340 is very low, and it wont really grow much in 3-4 months and you need to check your alk at least. If you get them up, then you will see growth in many months.

    actually ur lighting is fine for soft coral and lps coral watts per gallon should be 4-6 u have a little more than 6 which is good for coral growth

    You don't have to keep your levels that high unless you are running an SPS or a tank 'o clams. If you ran Ca:400, Mg:1300 and dKH:12 I think you would see growth pretty quickly. My frogspawn doubles in size every six months or so (that was under PCs). I am expecting the doubling to increase to every four months under my T5s now.

    I have been running my tank at Ca:480 Mg:1500 dKH:12-15 and have seen coral growth. But the lighting is really going to help you out more than the levels. Keeping the levels up will give them the ingredients to build, but the lighting will give them the motivation.

    Your levels are fine. What are you feeding it? What kind of flow is it in? FWIW, euphyllias are fairly slow growers as well.

    he is in mid flow but he is fully opened and happy i dont target feed him i poot in dts reef blend ppl say u dont have to feed frog spawns but what i dotn understand is my mushrooms xenia and zoas grow fairly fast
