Try looking for pods at night with a flashlight. That is when I can see mine. Also, I have placed some short PVC pipes in my 'fuge to help add hiding places for the pods to use for breeding. I don't know if it works.

I don't know if PVC would help much because its so big compared to pods. I have heard they like shells. I think pods would feel safer in a shell because the opening is smaller and the other end is closed.

placing a 1/2-1" piece of pvc, length varies 3-8", works wonders for them to reproduce and hangout. doing this youll have more pods then youll know what to do with.

the length of light is for the algae not the pods, most pods are nocturnal. having your fuge on a reverse light schedule from your main tank works best with caulerpa so it doesnt go asexual, cheato can have light 24/7 depending on the light. my fuge runs 24/7 with cheato using pc.
