off to the LFS for some aptasia-x and peppermint~!

 

whats the best way to remove a small aptaisia growing in the middle of my beautiful creamsicle zoa colony??? needle is way too big! the aptasia is making one zoa polyp to stay half closed like its being stung!

 

If you can get the colony out you can scrape the aipitasia off with a dental pick or something similar.

 

i could but when you mean "take out" you dont mean do this out of the water right?

 

I also swear by aptasia-x, I have used it also to zap the ones in my zoa colonys, it doesn't hurt the zoas. They may close up for a while but I have never lost any zoas from it.

I also use ap-x in both my tanks. Ones a reef tank the other is a seahorse tank and it never hurt anything in either tank. One thing though make sure you get it as close to the mouth as possible or it won't work IMO. And a few time the aptasia retracted so be careful with that too, because if it retracts and you don't get it it will come back a few days later
