    it makes you pay a lot of money for ground clay that you could get at walmart in the form of special kitty all natural kitty litter (red bag)...lol

    Just for use as a substrate in the fuge, releases minerals and what not into the water and provides area for beneficial bacteria to grow. Just an alternative to sand in there.

    I used it, I haven't noticed any significant benefit compared to other substrates. I would just use sand.
