    Hi...I am building a sump now and have a space in it for a 20'' x 7'' deep fuge area. I never set one up before so I have a few questions!

    I would like to know what I should put in there.
    Can I buy sand then seed it with something?
    Should I put any rock in it?
    I really want some chaeto in it...so with that can you also have sand and rock?

    How do you do it with chaeto?

    I have 5" of sand in mine, no need to seed it. I would email john maloney at reefcleaners, he can get you setup with several different macro algeas including the chateo
