    Hi everyone,

Recently I have fallen back into the time comsuming trap of keeping a marine aquarium ( GOD BLESS ) . I have been around this hobbie for many years as I hail from Cairns Queensland the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.I found fish keeping at an early age although now some time has passed and thing have changed some what, such as going out in dads boat to the reef to go for the best pre-mixed saltwater avalible haha.
Currently im Quebec Canada and finding the answers I need have been somewhat difficult as the language barrier can be hard to crack.
But fortunetly enough their is a great well of help at 3reef to realy answer those tuff tech questions.

well thats me, oh just one quick question if I may.
Micro bubbles besides unsightly good or bad long term.

    Thanks Rusty

micro bubbles are bad.they make the tank foggy and the bubbles help bad algae to grow.

    Welcome to 3Reef!!
There are quite a few Canadians that belong to this forum. :)
Even a couple of Australians ;)
In my Opinion, micro bubbles are bad in the long run because they can get on live rock and corals and stop the exchange of water between them and cause problems.

Salutations! Glad to see you found way here! ;D
(don't know if anything really wrong with micro bubbles - usually pretty easy to alleviate. Post Pics and let us know more about your system!)

thanks for the info on the micro bubbles,
Its a bit difficult to get great shot of the bubbles as my camera is not top notch but still. Im sure you can picture them its not so bad that its clouding the water but up close you can notice them, its was just more of a question of a long term damage

the more you tell us about your tank, the better the answers you will get.type of skimmer, hang on back skimmers like my prizm are notorious for producing micro bubbles.
