    Great idea! I just made one out of a Fiji water bottle. Took all of 15 minutes. Took longer to scrounge up the parts then it did to make it.

    Wow thats awesome, yet very simple and effective. Looks like this may be my next project.

    Have you tried mounting the bottle vertical so the water bubbles out of the top sorta like a sand filter so you don't run the risk of the water flowing just in the top of the bottle?

    Thanks! so glad I read this tonight, I was going to put carbon in a filter sock and would have regretted it I see. I just gotta get me a little pump, I have everything else

    good solution to a PITA problem, I had a simular issue I just stopped buying carbon and started buying carbon pads instead since I was lazy

    awesome tutorial. although when you put a hole in the bottle top i was thinking... nevermind.

    If i ever need a phosban reactor im doing that instead
