i would go acrylic is money is not a problem. and as of fading going on you should not have a problems. my boss has a 300g fish tank with acrylic glass and it has yet to fade. do keep in mind if you are someone that really goes fast when cleaning the tank, you are going to scratch it really easily and you are not going to like the out come. if weight is not a concern why go with a acrylic they cost a lot more.
but acrylic is really good to go for big tank, and you sir are going a big tank so idk i would oo idk.

I have always had acrylic tanks. Scratching is not a concern as long as you are careful, all 3 of my acrylic tanks look great even the one I have had for 14 years. I bought my current 100g off CL, when I bought it you couldnt even see thru it it was so scratched. After many many hours of sanding and polishing it is now my current dt. If it had been glass it would have been tossed. There arent too many scratches you cant get out of acrylic with enough sanding. And for the record acrylic will crack also. I just saw a 200g tank that split completly down the back panel. The guy that had it said before he got the previous owner used 3 400w MH lights, one of them was centered on the tank so it was heating up the acrylic center brace and weakend it to the point of cracking, then when they tried moving the tank the back split top to bottom. The thing was that tank was 1/2" acrylic. If you end up using acrylic and MH beware of the heat.

My favorite is Deep Sea Aquatics. They are the original Oceanic guys who left when All Glass bought them and wanted everyone to move out of Texas. They do top quality work.
