First question.. Why is it that coral "glow" under actinics and LEDS moonlights?

And Can you name a few that will glow other than frogspawn, zoas, or favias.

The actinic wave length excites the molecules in the zooxanthellae and flesh of the color causing them to glow.

There are zooanthids, many of the LPS species including some chalice.

Tri-color validas do somewhat, the purple ends you see with your daylights on look electric blue under actinic.

Yes a lot of sps will do this, a few that I have that do: Bali green slimer, calustera, certain oranges (mostly in montipora), Shawn Bennett yellow tort, suharsonoi... and pink lemonade has a nice color to it too.

A lot of others will too. Pretty much anything that is bright green

Or any orange or red or pink zoas. All of our zoas glow, the blue ones not so much, though. When our moonlights come on, we have glowing green, orange, pink, and yellow from our zoas.
