I know people glue encrusting monti's to the back wall, but i was wondering what would the effect be of gluing a montipora capricornus to the back wall?

    Has anyone ever done this?

There are several folks who have. The coral will encrust to the wall and then start plating out into the tank.

I assume the plating will be perpendicular to the back? (kinda like a couch)?

You could also look at aqua-mags.com. They have a frag mag that would work good too
