I have a YWG and he is AWESOME. The little bugger has so much personality that I can't even tell you all the weird and cool stuff he has done. Some hide for a while but he has been up close and personal since the second day I had him.;D

Do you have to have a top on the aquarium? Is it a question of will it jump or when it jumps?

Probably a question of when, especially when you first get it. I've had 2 Diamonds and neither of them even got around the top of the water but I think I was just very lucky, but the 6-spot I have (very similar to Diamonds), jumped into the overflow within an hour of putting him in the tank. When they want to escape or are hungry, they pace the top of the tank (and/or the walls), and they jump looking for a better tidepool.

My Orange-spot has been up on one of the high rocks once since we got it, and that was the first or second day. It pretty much stays at the bottom all the time. The 6-spot hovers mid-tank when he thinks it's time for me to feed him but he's settled down a LOT now.

So I should go ahead and get a top for it then if I want a ywg. Idk if I want to go glass or light diffuser (egg crate). Using light difusser doesn't seem to make much sense to me though...
