I have my heart set on a Yellow Watchman Goby, but my tank is only 7 weeks old. Maybe in a few months........

ive had a dragon for about 6 weeks and so far really like him, does a great job on sand, supposedly one of the only fish that will eat cyano if you ever have a breakout and he just looks cool, always really personable as well

I love my Diamond Goby. That is all he does all day is sift sand! And move it from here to there!

    "Serious Sand Sifter"

Note: All mine would do was sift sand all day long. As I only have about 1/4 inch of sand in tank, it slowly starved to death. Could never convince it to eat anything else. :-[

Also, can make tank a bit messy leaving "sifted" sand all over rock...:-/

A great sand sifting goby...but not highly recommended. (by me anyway)

just as a comment to Omard's post above, brownbarred are aka dragon goby's, Ive had good luck with mine taking to other foods, and yeah they are kind of messy, mine killed my bubble coral cause he would constantly bury it he'll leave sand on rocks, ect but the sand on the rocks he'll pick up once a day and move somewhere else in the tank, their constantly rearraging the aquascaping, engineer gobys are cool to but ive heard horror stories about them if you have your rock on top of the sand and didnt put the rock on the glass then sand around the rocks

I have never heard the common name of Brown Barred I have heard them called Bar goby's in the past But I always knew them as Dragon's . And yes they will move some sand as will the engineer goby's I like tham also . Had one about 24" long for yrs lost him last winter my son said , he saw it one night and said it scared him LOL they do a great job cleanning behind and around the rocks on the bottom . just see their heads ever now and then . But far better then the non working spray bars I see people talking about behind the rocks ..
